Minor problem with the English language

So I have a student that is really confused by the abbreviation "Mrs." First of all, she's convinced that I am a "Mrs." That's not such a big deal. What might bring her trouble is that she believes with all her little heart that "Mrs." stands for "Mistress". "Mistress Pregont!"
You're just gonna have to trust me on this one, kid...
