So bin laden spent several years in Khartoum in the 1990's. It's true he lived in the next neighborhood over. I've been shown the house where people say he lived. It would take me about 25 minutes to walk there.
They say that the large mosque up on the main road (see above) was built with his money. I can't find confirmation of that.
This is all very weird to me.
