Cat's in the cradle

The highlight of this beautiful, breezy Khartoum weekend? A home visit from our new veterinarian! Toab didn't even know why he should be looking anxiously out the balcony, toward the street, but he was!
We got the number of a good vet from an expat friend. We called, and within two hours, he was being escorted up our stairs by our security guard. Wow! This guy speaks great English and makes house calls with a snakeskin briefcase! His day job? He works at the Police Dog Training Facility!
For the price of $15, we got a home visit with a shot, a prescription (written on Police Dog Administration paper), and lab tests. There are bargains in this city!
