That time of the year...

Em and I are calm. We are only 1/4 through our two-year contract, meaning we know where we'll be next year- here. For many colleagues, however, this is the stressful time of year when they are job searching.

We initially found our job through a fair. These are expensive to attend, especially if you're going to one from Khartoum. So, most are trying to grab new jobs online- emailing, with skype interviewing. eeks! I'm stressed just listening to them!

With the international economy as it is, people are nervous about giving up their jobs here without signing a contract elsewhere. But that seems to be everyone's idea, meaning a lot of schools aren't posting all the positions that they actually have/will have/could have available. It's complicated. And I'm glad its not me!
