WAPI is an initiative supported by the British Council, giving underground artists and talent a place to shine. Its proven successful in other parts of Africa, and they are now bringing it here.
Last night, we went to see what this "WAPI" is all about. And it seems its all about goodness! They had henna, a photo exhibit, art, an open mic, and other performers- break-dancing, singing... Awesome! We formed our own little dance party in the back with some Sudanese friends. Live music, dancing! Too good to be true!
